Simulation of convergent-divergent nozzle in Ansys fluent

A converging-diverging nozzle is consists of three parts, respectively: converging section, throat and diverging section. In converging-diverging nozzle the flow must remain attached to the walls; for this purpose, the nozzle throat must be smooth. Flow in these nozzles could be subsonic, sonic and supersonic depending on the flow condition and Mach number. In analyzing converging and diverging nozzles we have to consider compressibility effects. Converging and diverging nozzles are used in many different systems such as propulsion systems, rackets and jet engines and steam turbines. Mehr CFD Company has experience in the CFD simulation of systems with converging-diverging nozzles.
