Outflow boundary conditions are used to model outflow flows that do not include flow details such as velocity before the problem is located. Therefore, there is no need to enter any information for this boundary, and the information needed to resolve it, is extrapolated from within the domain of the solution. However, it should be noted that this boundary can not be used under the following conditions.
- If the issue has a pressure inlet boundary, then the boundary condition of the pressure outlet should be used instead of the outflow.
- In incompressible flows
- In Unsteady flows, where their density varies, even if the flow is incompressible, the outflow boundary condition should be in the fully developed flows (the stream that does not change the flow profile or other profiles such as temperature in the direction of flow) to be used. For this reason, we need to make sure that Outflow is fully developed.
